The excitement of the 2008 Iditarod is building. We are about 100 days away from the start of the race. Be sure to check out the Iditarod Auction section of the website to see how much each musher's sled ‘sells' for at the auction. "Idita-Riders" are bidding for rides at the start of the race in downtown Anchorage. Students can predict the amount of money each sled will sell for and estimate the total amount of money that will be raised at the auction. How much would you pay to ride in the sled? Follow the auction with your students.
