Tom Thurston, 39, was born in Massachusetts. After receiving his B.S. degree in Business in 1992 at the University of Florida, Tom moved to Colorado where he has been a general contractor the last 15 years. He has run the Race to the Sky and the Seeley Lake 200, both in Montana, several times, and finished the 2009 Iditarod. "After completing last year's Iditarod with a yearling team, I realized how much I enjoy traveling by dog team. Being able to focus solely on the athletes that give us so much, and witnessing how resilient and determined they are, is bringing us back in 2010. With the team's being one year older, we will push harder for a top 30 finish. Our main goal is dog care and to finish with as many happy healthy athletes as possible. I love this sport and the bond that I have with my dogs is irreplaceable." |
