Iditarod Musher Profile 

Mike Williams, 56, was born and raised in Alaska. He says he's been mushing "all my life, living with family and dogs. I have been racing the Iditarod for the cause of sobriety, quality education for our kids, keeping the tradition alive even when the Millennium arrived. It's been a great ride so far." Mike says, "I want to continue to run the race for sobriety. Keep the tradition alive." Mike attended Chemawa Indian School and University of Alaska. He lists his occupation as dog musher and is a member of AITC and the NCAI. He says he enjoys karate, reading and traveling. He is married to Maggie and they have five children, Ted, Mike, Jr., Sheila, Shawna and Christine.
