Benedikt Beisch, 28, was born and raised in Germany. He studied business administration in Stuttgart and graduated from clerk school in 2002. He says, "Being bored as an industrial business clerk all day in an office, I came to Nenana, Alaska in February of 2003 to be a dog handler." On his quest to seek great adventures, he started training and racing out of Aaron Burmeister's kennel four years ago. "The highlight of my mushing career was running the Yukon Quest in 2007."
