Janet Tremmer (Coopersburg, Pennsylvania) with 2007 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Champion Lance Mackey:
"How often can you be a piece of history? Watching the dogs happily howling at the Start Line, seeing the faces of the mushers as they lurched off onto a harrowing 1100 miles of blizzards, bone-chilling cold and drift covered markers, a new world opened up to us. It was a wonderfully unique universe of Joe Redingtons, of food drops at checkpoints, of inspirational champions like Susan Butcher and Martin Buser, of Rainy Pass and Unalakleet, of Lance Mackey talking to his dogs out on the ice, and of a thousand hearts harmoniously coming together to man and dog against the harshest environment imaginable. The more we saw, the more we were drawn into the extraordinary world of the Iditarod."
Fourteen time IditaRider Beverly Nelms (Fort Worth, Texas) enjoyed a ride with Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race veteran Dee Dee Jonrowe:
"I enjoy the quiet movement, seeing all the dogs, plus the chance to see wild life. Most of all I enjoy seeing my friends."
