IDITAROD XXXVI MUSHER Darin Nelson, (Bib #81) scratched at 2:45 pm (March 09, 2008) in Galena Checkpoint. The 38 year old rookie musher from Kotzebue Alaska cited concern over the health of his team as his reason for scratching. Nelson had 10 dogs on his team when he scratched.
