Iditarod XXXV Media Advisory

Thong Necropsy

FROM:       Mark Nordman, Race Marshal

A gross necropsy was performed on "Thong" a three year old male in the team of Matt Hayashida. Preliminary indications showed that Thong expired as a result of acute pneumonia.  

Further studies including histopathology and cultures will be conducted.
