Iditarod 2008 will go down in history as one of the most watched races ever. Race fans from 165 countries logged on to www.iditarod.com to watch “The Last Great Race on Earth“ from start to finish.
Right now Versus is preparing its third and final hour of coverage of Iditarod 2008. The final hour will air on Sunday, March 30, at 7 pm Eastern Time.
Iditarod Productions posted hundreds of video clips on the Iditarod Insider during the course of the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Now the 2008 documentary is being produced and is expected to be released to the public by June 1st. The 2008 DVD can be pre-ordered now in the Iditarod Store.
Last year Iditarod Productions won an EMMY Award for the 2006 documentary Mother Nature’s Turn to Dance. After the reviews of the 2007 Iditarod Documentary As Tough As They Come who knows… maybe another EMMY is waiting in the wings.
Finally, Original Productions is hard at work developing its Iditarod series for Discovery Channel, due to air this fall. Original Productions is known for its reality TV innovations on Alaska’s High Seas with The Deadliest Catch.
