Iditarod XXXVI Field
Is Packed With Talent

The 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race’s impressive field of marathon athletes are preparing to lead their teams from Anchorage to Nome. Iditarod Champions Rick Swenson, Jeff King, Martin Buser, Mitch Seavey and Lance Mackey will all be vying for another shot at being the first to finish “The Last Great Race on Earth.”

Top ten challengers Paul Gebhardt, Zack Steer, John Baker, Ed Iten and Jason Barron are all looking to notch their first Iditarod Championship in 2008. They will be joined by at least ten other highly-competitive teams looking to make Iditarod XXXVI their crowning glory.

This year’s race will include an impressive class of rookie athletes: Jr. Iditarod Champions Rohn Buser and Melissa Owens, along with Canada’s William Kleedham, are expected to have strong showings on their first trek along the Iditarod Trail.
