Nome students use Iditarod Insider during the 2007 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
Summer is quickly giving way to cooler temperatures in sled dog kennels around the world. As the temperature drops, the anticipation and excitement about the Last Great Race on Earth is heating up!
The 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race slate of entrants is a "who's who" of international long distance sled dog racing. As of today, there are 82 teams signed up. The field represents 58 veterans and 24 rookies.
"Where's my musher?" is a common chant heard in classrooms around the world. Today more than ever, Iditarod provides resources to help students not only read the race data, but see the sights of the race and hear the sounds of the runners on the ice through Iditarod Insider.

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is commonly referred to as the "Grand Daddy" of long distance sled dog racing.
