The 2007 volunteer picnic gets underway on June 30th at 12 noon at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters in Wasilla Alaska. It’s a great way for volunteers and mushers to come together on the campus of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters in order to celebrate “The Last Great Race on Earth.”
The 2008 Iditarod Trail sign ups will begin at 12 noon at the Iditarod Race Headquarters and last until 4pm. A number of mushers have already signed up for the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, and many more are expected to follow at the musher sign ups.
All the food for the hundreds of volunteers who attend the 2007 Picnic will be provided by the Millennium Alaska Hotel, the official Host of the Volunteer Picnic, and the Official Race Headquarters in Anchorage Alaska.
