IDITAROD XXXVI MUSHER Steve Madsen, (Bib #57) scratched at 10:45 am (March 11, 2008) in Galena Checkpoint.  The 43 year old musher from Cougar Washington cited concern over the health of his team as his reason for scratching.  Madsen had 11 dogs on his team when he scratched.
